How cocktail costing works

Cost every ingredient separately, add those costs to get the drink cost, then divide drink cost by selling price to calculate pour cost. Gross profit is selling price minus drink cost. Suggested price is drink cost divided by the target pour cost expressed as a decimal.

BarCost uses gross profit only. It does not automatically account for labour, rent, VAT, utilities, card fees or other operating expenses.
